Automobiles in Germany's City Discovered Covered with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Law Enforcement Confirm

Police stated they were contacted by a individual who discovered a automobile in Hanau smeared with reddish liquid

Approximately 50 automobiles have been smeared with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's municipality of Hanau near Frankfurt, according to law enforcement.

Cars, building surfaces and mailboxes were vandalized, occasionally with prohibited symbols, they reported in a official communication.

Officers report they were alerted during the night on Wednesday, when a man discovered that a vehicle in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been smeared with a reddish-hued fluid.

The substance had been placed in the form of a banned symbol, they added.

Law enforcement then found multiple other smeared automobiles and house walls in the nearby vicinity.

Nazi symbols are prohibited in Germany under legislation banning the public display of Nazi-era symbols.

Officials state early analysis indicate the liquid was most likely blood from a person.

"Currently there is no clue as to where it came from; officials are presently not informed of any physical harm in connection with the incident," they added.

Municipal representatives announced they were working "to unravel the mystery" and have appealed to the residents for tips.

A high-ranking official stated the incident made him speechless and needed to be resolved promptly.

"This act hits the center of Hanau and reopens the trauma of the far-right terrorist attack half a decade ago," he posted on social media, recalling the death of nine people by a gunman focusing on people of immigrant origin in February 2020.
